Sanctuary Cities/State
Aiding and abetting illegal aliens is a felony. Cracking down on "Sanctuary Cities" is a must to get the illegal alien problem under control. Sanctuary cities not only violate federal laws, but also violate the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution clearly delegates the power to make uniform immigration rules to the U.S. Congress.
The Kelly - Koppie team will strive to repeal (5 ILCS 805/Illinois Trust Act) that essentially turns IL into a Sanctuary State by preventing local law enforcement to work with Federal Immigration. They will work with Federal Immigration departments to help solve the illegal problem.

The Kelley - Koppie team strongly oppose the Sanctuary State Act and will do everything in their power to block this unconstitutional bill and/or repeal it should it get passed prior to them taking office.
